I visited The Legends during the Chicago Bluesfest in 2005. It was fantastic to be there. A dream became reality. There were a lot of famous bluesartists in the club that evening. I stood next to Buddy and did not dare to talk to him :-( On the parking at the back i met RBB Ronny Baker Brooks. I asked and got his pick after the performance! This Year (2008) I am looking forward to visit the Legends again, now with 8 friends from Holland (The Netherlands) on the night before this years 25th Chicago bluesfestival. We hope to meet Buddy and hear-see him play the blues.

nice change but i stand with Redhouse about the discussion forums…i thought we had a good thing goin.
nevertheless i’ve had the pleasure of visiting legends a few years ago. i was excited to finally see Lil’ Ed perform. i had been listening to his band since roughousin’. Ron Prince and the hard time opened up and Eric Noden was earlier in the evening…Ron Prince stole the night and i felt comfortable in approaching him to let him know. i remember my wife leaning towards me and saying (while Prince was jamming) “you know i’m not a blues fan but this guy is fucking awsome”…that does not go without saying that Lil’ Ed was great…but he was no Ron Prince…PLEASE BRING BACK THE FORUMS!!!

I’ve been with Buddy and Legends for nearly 20 years. My brother and I used to take the Blue Line (then the A Train) from Oak Park. Hands down, Buddy is my favorite Blues musician. He can still stir me to tears when I’m driving my car alone on a Saturday night.

I just saw Buddy last Saturday in Northampton, MA and I have to say that it was one of the best shows I have seen in a long time. I loved the way he came into to crowd and just to hear him play sent chills through my spine. He had a 10 year old boy play with him that was phenomenal. Thank you for such a wonderful experience. I can’t wait to see him again.
